About Diagnostics
Diagnostics are the different services that are done in identifying a disease, condition, or injury from its signs, symptoms, and medical procedures. A health history, physical exam, and tests, such as blood tests, imaging tests, and biopsies, may be used to help make an accurate diagnosis. So, differential diagnosis, which is the process of comparing and contrasting different possible explanations, must be done. This means putting together different pieces of information and then recognizing and separating patterns. Sometimes a sign or symptom makes the process easier. An important part of a doctor’s visit is getting a diagnosis. The diagnostic approach includes categorization tests as well, to assess the severity or progression of a condition.
