Imaging Services

Medical imaging, often known as radiography, is the branch of medicine in which medical experts reconstruct diagnostic or therapeutic images of various bodily sections. Medical imaging treatments include noninvasive diagnostics that enable physicians to diagnose injuries and diseases without being intrusive. The radiology department of Clinica provides X-Ray Imaging and Ultrasound Imaging.

X-Ray Imaging

An X-ray is a quick and painless procedure used to obtain images of the body’s interior. In the Clinica X-ray department, trained Radiographers do X-rays. We have implemented digital imaging and are offering our patients with the most advanced medical technologies accessible.

Ultrasound Scanning

An ultrasound scan is a procedure that use high-frequency sound waves to create an image of a part of the inside of the body. We are fully equipped with high quality scan machines

Ultrasound imaging is radiation-free. For this reason, it is the recommended way to view a fetus throughout pregnancy.

An ultrasound can also help guide the movements of surgeons during some medical procedures, like biopsies. Further, ultrasound imaging is used to assess the blood flow in blood vessels. This is especially important in assessing and diagnosing vascular disorders and several other varieties of diseases.

If you have pain, swelling, or other symptoms that need to see inside your body, the doctor may order an ultrasound.

Ultrasound scans:

·         Pelvis

·         Ovulation study

·         Whole abdomen

·         Breast (both sides)

·         Transvaginal

·         KUB scan

·         Cranium

·         Antenatal Scan

·         Scrotum (soft tissue)

·         Thyroid (soft tissue)

·         Ultrasound chest

·         Groin

·         Large parts (soft tissue)

·         Orbit/eye

·         Shoulder

. Soft Tissues

Doppler Studies

A Doppler ultrasound is a noninvasive test that can be used to estimate the blood flow through your blood vessels by bouncing high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) off circulating red blood cells.

A Doppler ultrasound may help diagnose many conditions, including:

·         Blood clots

·         Poorly functioning valves in your leg veins, which can cause blood or other fluids to pool in your legs (venous insufficiency)

·         Heart valve defects and congenital heart disease

·         A blocked artery (arterial occlusion)

·         Decreased blood circulation into your legs (peripheral artery disease)

·         Bulging arteries (aneurysms)

·         Narrowing of an artery, such as in your neck (carotid artery stenosis)

Doppler studies available at Clinica:
